What is facial filler contouring?
It is a injectable procedure that uses a dermal filler to enhance or minimize a facial concern.

Who is a good candidate for facial filler contouring?
Any patient that has an unwanted profile with regards to the nose, jawline, chin or temples. The increase of facial volume would create a more youthful appearance.  If veins on the hands have become more noticeable and the skin less lax then dermal filler placed in the area would be a solution.

Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not receive this or any dermal filler treatments?

How long will the filler last?
Depending on the type of filler used and the area it is injected will dictate its longevity. In areas with less movement you can expect the facial filler to last up to 2 years.

What if I don’t like my injections?
Most fillers used are a hyaluronic acid and can be removed fairly easy by injection an enzyme, vitrase, into the area to dissolve the product.

What is the recovery after facial filler contouring injection?
Recovery is minimal and you can return to normal activities immediately. Patients may experience tenderness, redness and possibly some bruising in the area treated which usually subside within 1-3 days.

Will I experience pain when I get facial filler injections?
All dermal fillers includes numbing within the product to reduce discomfort.  We also apply numbing cream 15 -20 minutes before the start of the procedure to decrease this further. Additionally ice will be applied for numbing and to help prevent bruising. The entire process will take less than 10 minutes after numbing.
