Jeuveau Frequently Asked Questions
What is Jeuveau “NewTox”?
Jeuveau is derived from the same highly purified Botulinum Toxin A as found in the neuromodulator Botox. It is used to relax the muscles that create wrinkles, making it effective in reversing the signs of aging.
How do Jeuveau injections work?
Normally, your brain sends electrical messages to your muscles telling them when to contract and move. Jeuveau blocks the neurotransmitter to the muscle thus the muscle does not receive the message to contract.
How does NEWTOX fight the signs of aging?
Jeuveau injections fight the signs of aging by relaxing the underlying muscles which cause wrinkles and lines to appear on the skin. When the muscles are relaxed which prevents more wrinkles in that area.
It is important to remember that wrinkles can also be caused by sun exposure, the natural maturing process, and even smoking. Jeuveau is less effective against these “static wrinkles” but will still help to greatly improve the overall appearance of the skin.
What is a Newtox treatment like?
The treatments are gentle and quick, using ice and a very fine needle to inject the product into the muscle.
How long do the Jeuveau effects last?
The effects from a single treatment of Jeuveau are similar to Botox which will normally last 3 – 4 months.
Is Jeuveau right for me?
Newtox should not be used during pregnancy, nursing, or if taking certain medications. Only your physician can determine the best course of therapy. Ensure that your nurse injector is aware of any current medications you are taking before the procedure.
What are the possible side effects of Newtox?
All medications have some side effects, but with Jeuveau injections, they are minimal and temporary. After the injections, some patients experience temporary discomfort at the injection site and may get a headache.
Is it safe to drive after having Jeuveau injections?
At the Laser Image Company, we treat clients with Newtox from Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Torrance, Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills, and Los Angeles and there is no problem for them to drive after the procedure.
How much does Jeuveau cost?
Jeuveau price is dependent on the area being treated and the strength of the muscle movement. For example: the treatment of glabella (the “11s”) expect 16-24 units at $11/unit for a total Newtox cost of $176 – $264.
