The Laser Image Company, located in Redondo Beach, CA has announced that starting January 1, 2015 the clinic will be offering FREE laser treatments for any US active or retired military personnel who were injured while serving our country. The clinics plan is to treat as many service men and women as possible for free to help improve their injury scars.
John Santoliquido, Laser Specialist & Operations Manager of the Laser Image Company said “when military personnel return from service they can have both emotional and physical scars and we would like to help reduce the appearance of any that they are concerned about” This full service medical spa has many laser procedures available to combat the different issues that arise from all types of injuries.
One non-invasive procedure that has shown promising results is Laser genesis. It targets the hemoglobin in the vessels and stimulates collagen in the skin to help reduce redness and soften scars. Mr. Santoliquido continued, “I have been assisting with the treatment of burn patients with the doctors at Shriners Hospital for Children for the last 3 years and have seen significant improvement to scars.” Dr. Kay, of Shriners Hospital states “All patients have softer and more flexible scars, with decreased redness. 3 have had significant flattening of the scars, which, combined with the decrease in redness, has made them less visible”. Other laser procedures such as IPL for pigmentation, NDYag for removing unwanted hair from skin grafts, Sellas 1550 to reduce scars, and Fractional C02 resurfacing laser can all be used. A treatment plan will be specifically designed for each individual based on his or her specific concerns.
