Is your skin suffering from sun damage, acne scarring, aging (wrinkles and skin laxity) or uneven pigmentation? If your answer is YES our Fractional C02 Laser could be perfect solution for you.
Fractional C02 is a laser treatment that uses the Italian manufactured DOT Laser by SmartXide. This treatment will give you dramatic results by rebuilding lost collagen and helping repair the skins appearance and texture.
How Does the Fractional CO2 Laser Work?
The fractional CO2 laser creates thousands of microscopic perforations in the skin to start the healing process which minimizes and improves scars, tightens skin, reduces wrinkles and stimulates collagen. These micro-injury sites are only 15-20 percent of the treated area leaving a barrier for the healing process to take place faster and with less chance of complications.
Before the Fractional CO2 Laser DOT treatment starts, numbing cream will be applied for 1 hour on the area that will be treated to reduce discomfort. Most clients report a stinging sensation during the treatment and afterwards a slight sun burnt feeling. Both of these can be managed easily by over the counter pain relief medication, which will be discussed prior to the procedure, and also with ice packs after the treatment.
Before and After a Single Fractional CO2 Procedure:
Fractional CO2 is safe on skin types 1 to 3 and most clients only need one treatment. However, this procedure would be more aggressive thus requiring a full 7 days of downtime. We recommend you plan this treatment to suit your schedule. Less aggressive treatments can be done with only 2-3 days of downtime but would require more procedures to get the desired results.
It is super important to keep the treated area protected and moisturized with aquaphor, or a similar product, until healing starts. To ensure your safety there are strict pre and post treatment protocols that must be followed. During the consultation the RN will go over the pre and post protocol with you in detail.

To choose the right laser treatment for you, and your concerns, can sometimes be hard. I always recommend coming in to our office and getting a complimentary consultation with one of our nurses, so you can decide together what would be best for you.
