Were is it injected?
JUVÉDERM VOLUMA™ XC is delivered by an injection into the cheek and surrounding area of the mid-face to correct the loss of volume and fullness. It is non surgical and the treatment can be preformed on a brief office visit. You may be a little swollen, tender and red after the injection, if that is the case we will have ice packs for you to put on before leaving the office.
Voluma XC Results
I would recommend a follow up appointment 2 weeks to 1 month after your initial treatment. A touch-up treatment of a small amount of dermal filler may be necessary to achieve the desired result but this is rarely needed.
Does the correction last forever? No. While individual results may vary, in the clinical study, the results lasted up to 2 years in a majority of subjects treated with JUVÉDERM VOLUMA™ XC. After this, repeat injections are usually needed to maintain your desired result.
